Travis County Amateur Radio Emergency Service

TCARES is the ARES chapter serving Travis County, Texas, providing trained amateur radio operators in support of emergency communications for served agencies including Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, the City of Austin Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and the American Red Cross.

K5ANM serves as the Assistant Emergency Coordinator for the TCARES Emergency Communications Trailer — a self-contained mobile platform deployable to support field operations and served agency coordination. This section documents nets, frequencies, activation procedures, training resources, and local operational notes useful for both new and experienced members.
